Rooted in Story, Service, Home and Heart.

I’m Deborah Mechele Bento — though most people know me as Purple Deb. I'm a realtor, writer, and your biggest advocate when you're ready to change your story and create a future you love.

Guidance for life's next chapter...

After more than twenty years in corporate leadership, I stepped into real estate with a simple mission: to help people make informed decisions with confidence.

Today, I serve clients throughout Fresno, Clovis, and the Central Valley with honesty, compassion, and a commitment to putting people first.

Because real estate isn't just about property—it's about stability, opportunity, and creating a future you love. Whether you're buying your first home or moving into a new season of life, I am here to help you find the special place where you'll write your next chapter. My role is to educate, advocate, and guide you through every step of the journey so you feel supported and empowered.

Real Estate with Heart

Real estate is personal to me. When my family moved to Fresno, I was ten years old, and I watched my parents work hard and struggle to find a house that fit our needs, our budget, and our hopes for the future. Today, I carry that perspective into every client relationship.

I believe education creates confidence, so I take the time to explain the process, explore options, and create a plan that fits your goals, timeline, and comfort level.

Everyone deserves to feel informed, confident, and at ease when making one of life's biggest decisions.

Homes are where memories are made, legacies are built, and where YOU write your own story.

kind words from clients

“Because of her, I was able to purchase a great home at a great price!

Deborah is a fantastic realtor! She represented me for the purchase of my first home. I was very unfamiliar with the home-buying process, but she was always available to answer my questions and give me a thorough education on anything I inquired about! She gave me great recommendations for the home inspections and was also able to negotiate a home warranty for the first 2 years after purchase. I cannot thank her enough and I highly recommend her expertise.”

“I can't recommend Deb aka Realtor Purple Deb enough.

While I ultimately didn’t list my home, the guidance and education I received were truly invaluable. Instead of pushing for a sale, she and her partner took the time to walk me through the current market conditions, explain the comps in my neighborhood in detail, and help me understand the timing that would make the most sense for me.  What stood out most was how she prioritized my long-term goals over a quick commission. If you're looking for someone who will empower you with information, not pressure you into a decision, and treat your home like it matters—this is the agent you want in your corner.”

“We are profoundly grateful for Deborah's invaluable guidance and support in securing our perfect home.

Deborah demonstrated exceptional professionalism and dedication throughout our search for our first home. Her amiable personality, thoughtful approach, and unwavering commitment to our family's best interests were truly commendable. One of the most remarkable aspects of working with Deborah is her genuine passion for her role as a realtor. It is evident that she derives great satisfaction from assisting families in finding their ideal homes, making the entire process rewarding for her. Her ability to alleviate stress and provide expert advice was truly exceptional. Without reservation, I highly recommend Deborah as the ideal real estate professional to assist you in finding your dream home.”

 Speaking of stories…

Writing has always been part of who I am.

I'm currently an MFA candidate in Creative Nonfiction at California State University, Fresno. My work has appeared in The San Joaquin Review, HAIS Literary Journal, and The Collegian, and I've shared my writing at LitHop and the Rogue Festival.

My writing explores family, identity, grief, love, and belonging, often rooted in the landscapes and communities of California's Central Valley. When I'm not writing, you'll likely find me wandering independent bookstores, discovering local coffee shops, traveling, or taking photographs that inspire future essays. I am endlessly curious about people, places, and the stories that connect us.

The Podcast

The podcast is another extension of what I care about most: voice, honesty, and meaningful conversation.

It’s our space to speak openly about what it takes to build a life you love without dimming your light. Think of it like chatting with your boldest, most honest friends…the ones who always tell it like it is (with love, of course).
